New Skincare Resolutions FTY 2018

Hello Beauties!!!

Every new year inspires me to set some life goals which will improve my mind, body & soul and bring happiness to life. At the same time, past years has taught me that every resolution I made were not important things to me in my life. But since last 5 years ( Better late than never) one resolution has really motivated me to keep on setting up new goals with every coming year and that’s THE SKINCARE RESOLUTION!!!!! TADAAAAA

I never set too many skincare resolutions at a time. Year on year, gradually I added new resolutions for my skin cause Skincare is a HABIT!!. It’s not something that one fine morning I’ll wake up and I’ll see glowing, healthy and clearer skin overnight! It takes time and that’s not 21 days for sure!

Clear skin means Skin with no blackheads, whiteheads, pimple/zits, Acne scars, pigmentation spots or clogged pores. Sounds good???? I know…Who doesn’t want Clear Skin???? I want!  With some trial and error, I have been trying to achieve clear skin since last few years and will keep on experimenting with new skincare products and beauty technologies. Click here to know more about my skincare habits ( Old resolutions which ACHIEVED so far) which have really improved my skin over the last past years and these are quite achievable.

This year I decided to add few more resolutions to get that flawless skin I always dream of. Let’s see how well I will be able to achieve it successfully!!!

1. A visit to Dermatologist :

Believe it or not, I never made a visit to the dermatologist. I don’t have a specific reason for this and I don’t want to give some excuse but yes, I realised that I do annual health check-ups regularly and I am very much serious about my Health & Fitness ,So How Can I ignore “ THE SKIN???, The largest organ in the human body and it protects all other organs from the outside world”. So, a visit to an experienced dermatologist is necessary for this year.

2. Clean up after the Gym:

As I said, I am pretty passionate about fitness. After workout session I get pretty lazy to take showers, we all get but hey, when sweat dries on our body it actually promotes bacterial growth. So, taking a super quick shower right after workout session would prevent body and back acne.

3. To reduce Stress and get enough sleep:

I learned Skincare is just not layering the number of products on the skin or eating healthy, Its also about balanced mental health. Our skin is the mirror of our inner health. Stress is skin’s worst enemy. Stress and lack of sleep actually accelerate the process of aging, makes skin look dull, acne and many more skin problems. When we don’t get enough sleep, our body releases more of the stress hormone cortisol. In excess amounts, cortisol can break down skin collagen, the protein that keeps skin smooth and elastic. So make sure to get at least 8 hours of sleep every night!

4. Increase the dose of Vitamins:

Vitamins influence our skin health. Each vitamin plays an important role in the body. Grab a bottle of multivitamins and include them in morning ritual. Our skin and body will thank us!

5. Change Pillowcases frequently:

Pillowcases, bedsheets retains bacteria, dead skin cells, dust mites and variety of other unsavory things. Dermatologists recommend changing pillowcase and bedding at least once a week, to prevent acne or breakouts.

6. Mask at least once a week:

Masking makes our skin care regimen more fun and relaxing. It helps other skin care products to work more effectively, hence improve the appearance of the skin. Masks have many benefits like they help to moisturize, tones, unclog & minimize pores, Firms, detoxify, softens, exfoliate, and rejuvenate skin.  With regular use, it will surely provide us results in a faster, and more satisfying way.

7. Drink More Water. Of course!!

This is on my list of resolution every year! Drinking plenty water ( at least 8 glasses per day) will flush toxins out of our body and will keep our skin Hydrated. Remember, HYDRATION IS A KEY!!!!

Hope this year as well I will meet my skin care goals. Of course, it takes time to establish healthy habits but we have to start somewhere.

    We are basically on the same resolution page lol! Cleaning pillow cases more often,
    Face masks, and washing up right after he gym are my number one focuses right now.

      yeah, I believe these are some additional yet very important steps to get healthy skin. I also started following these from this year, they were never on my list before!!!

    This is a great resolution and so beneficial! I have quite clear skin but it’s also quite dry to I’m trying to find way of helping that! Thanks for the tips!

    Great advice! I have yet to see a dermatologist, but it definately on my to do list. I often feel like I’m guessing at my skin type which makes it difficult to select the right products. Drinking more water is a constant goal of mine – I can see the positive results in my skin when I keep up and drink enough.

      Thanks Rachel! Visit to dermat is very important at the same time choosing the right dermatologist is quiet difficult. Hope so i’ll get the right one for me 🙂
